2012 Programs at Dennison
Aim High
Aim High Program is for girls ages 14-18. This program offers participants activities that provides learning opportunities is a variety of areas such as: leadership development training, team building, career exploration, community service, life skills, and healthy living alternatives. In addition to these areas the girls will do National Programming at least one night a week which includes programs such as preventing adolescent pregnancy, Media and Economic Literacy, and Project Bold.
For the winter of 2012 the PHAT program, which is a program that we are launching in collaboration with Henrietta Johnson Medical Center, is a program getting the girls active and healthy all while keeping it fun with Hip Hop dance instruction and education on preventing adolescent pregnancy will be offered on Monday nights from January through March. This will run for 10 weeks with a banquet sponsored by Nemours to close out the program in April.
