Full Time Development & Marketing Manager
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Development & Marketing Manager is responsible for advancing the mission of Girls Incorporated of Delaware through a comprehensive program of fundraising, marketing, communications, and volunteer engagement.
Fundraising

Designs, coordinates, and executes all agency fundraising campaigns and special events

Researches and evaluates "requests for proposals" and opportunities for grant funding.

Works with the Executive Director, the Program Director and others to develop grant programs and to complete and submit grant proposals including Grant-In-Aid and United Way.

Tracks all grant funding including upcoming deadlines, submitted applications, and funded applications. Completes and submits all requiring reports and documentation for funders.

Provides technical assistance to the Development Committee for the development and execution of the annual campaign and other appeals as necessary.

Oversees the prospect/donor database, special event records, and solicitation reports.
Marketing & Communications

Develop and implement communication policies and procedures.

Manage the Delaware affiliate's website and social media presence including routinely updating content.

Develop and implement annual marketing plans that include schedules for online media campaigns including website postings, social media, and blast email campaigns.

Create and maintain relationships with the various media contacts

Maintain a "clip file" of media coverage secured each year and produce a year-end report outlining all agency coverage.

Coordinate the writing, design, preparation, production and distribution of Girls Inc. brochures, publications and collateral materials.
Volunteer Management

Supervises the volunteer program for the Delaware affiliate including recruitment, training, and recognition

Provide training for staff on volunteer management and development
Administrative Responsibilities

Submits any required projections, reports, statistics required to support the agency fund-raising efforts including reports for funders regarding utilization of funds and delivery of programs.

Monitors department performance based on established goals and timetables.

Monitors revenues and expenditures in accordance with budget.
Additional Responsibilities
-
Represents Girls Incorporated in the community at relevant meetings, serves on appropriate committees/boards, and attends events to assist in maintaining a favorable image for Girls Inc. of Delaware within the community at large.

Ensures compliance with agency Code of Ethics.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree required; preferably in marketing, communications or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of three years of experience in fundraising, marketing, or related field.

Website development/maintenance skills including coding and content management systems

Excellent writing and organizational skills; ability to prioritize work and dedicated to getting the job done well

Independent, self-directed worker with a high degree of professionalism

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to manage up as well as laterally

Must have advanced skills in the use of Word, Excel, & Powerpoint; Access skills preferred. Additional skills in the use of Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator are highly desirable.
WORK SCHEDULE: The working hours for this position are based upon agency needs.
